This week in SuperKids we started on Unit 5 learning about toys.  Students shared their favorite toys we learned about some new toys.  In Dora, we started a new unit on food.  Students shared their favorite foods with the class.   Phrases to practice at home: Which toy car do you want?  The red one. May I have that comic book, please? What are these?  They’re yo-yos.  What do you like?  I like sandwiches.  I like eggs.

This week in SuperKids we reviewed short o vocabulary words.  Students also practiced asking their classmates what time they do certain tasks.  In Dora, we sang a song about looking for toys and helping each other. We also completed Unit 4 about wild animals.  Phrases to practice at home: What time do you get up?  What time do you go to school?   What time do you go to bed? Where’s my toy zebra?  Where’s my toy hippo?  Where is it? I see your whale.  Where’s the elephant?  In the grass.

Week of December 13-17

This week in SuperKids we continued learning about time.  We also talked about the different times we do things (eat, bathe, sleep etc..) In Dora, we had an adventure with Dora’s cousin, Diego to save Boots.  We also helped the baby animals find their mommies.  We also talked about helping animals. Phrases to practice at home: What time is it?  It’s 7:00. I go to school at 8:00. I eat lunch at 12:00. We need to help the whale.  We need to help Boots!

This week in SuperKids we started a new unit and learned how to tell time on a clock. In Dora, we continued learning about wild animals and the different places they live.  Phrases to practice at home: I like your watch. What time is it? It’s 12:00. It’s time to eat lunch. Where’s the whale?  In the ocean. Where’s the giraffe?  In the grass.

Week of November 29 - December 3

This week in SuperKids we reviewed vocabulary from Units 1-3.  We also learned about the 4 seasons. In Dora, we started a new unit about wild animals. Phrases to practice at home: What’s your favorite season? I like fall.  It’s cloudy and cool. I see a whale.  I see an elephant.

We have also been busy practicing for our Christmas play!  The kids are doing a great job and super excited for our show.
